EMANUELA ZANOTTI

BIOGRAPHY

The journalist and writer Emanuela Zanotti, was born in Brescia where she still lives. After a long stay abroad, in Germany where she studied at Dolmetcherschule in Münich and in the U.S.A. where she worked as a journalist, for some time she has devoted herself to cultural journalism and she has written articles for national and regional newspapers. At the beginning of the 1980s she wrote for “L’Espresso” and started to write articles for the culture and entertainment page in “Il Giornale di Brescia”. She edited the local magazine “Primo Piano” for eleven years. In her book “ Io donna e madre”(Paoline Editoriale Libri,2002) she reported the experiences of famous women on the theme of motherhood. In 2007 she published “Con il Cuore rivolto al futuro”, and in the same year she published her first novel “ Il solco della memoria”. In “Il Sorriso Benedetto” Cantagalli,the writer accomplished a sort of pilgrimage in the land where Pope Benedict XVI, spent his childhood. The book was presented to the Pontificia Università Lateranense by His Excellency Mons. Rino Fisichella. In 2007 she was awarded with the Journalist Prize “Attilio e Ada Carosso”.
